Thanks Cody that was fantastic. Checkout his website.  codyheichel.com Cody Heichel is a watercolor artist residing in Columbus, Ohio. His loose and interpretive paintings aim to capture the mood and essence of each subject, rather than focusing on the meticulous details of the scene at hand. Growing up in rural Ohio and now living in the city, he finds himself influenced by a wide variety of settings. Mysterious figures are often the focal point of each piece, and it’s through these figures that he seeks to insert varying emotions into his work. Stories are created through their vague and often ghostly appearance, their body language, as well as their surroundings.

Since childhood, Heichel has always had an interest in fine art, and it continued to be the focus of his formal education. In 2010 at the age of 26, he first began watercolor painting as a leisurely activity but quickly became captivated by the medium. He sought to learn more through lessons at the Wayne Center for the Arts and by attending numerous workshops by key members of the American Watercolor Society.
